Our mission:
Its main aim is to promote international sculpture in Zwolle and its region. Doing so, promoting the city of Zwolle to a national and international audience. Promotion will occur in several shapes and forms, providing opportunities for a wide range of public to get acquainted with the art of sculpture.
ZWISS intends to develop projects and activities by collaborating with other organizations and networks on a national and international level. ZWISS believes synergies form the foundation for a prosperous and dynamic sculpture industry.
ZWISS regards it of importance to promote the traditional disciplines within the discipline of sculpture, with a main emphasis on stone sculpture. In an era where most things evolve around technology, innovation and quickness, traditional disciplines are often wrongly labelled as outdated in the world of art. ZWISS finds it important to cherish the knowledge still availible and maintained by those practising these techniques and will seek appropriate events to promote it.
ZWISS wants to be of an added value in terms of social awareness. If ZWISS can contribute or support good causes that need financial (i.e. an auction to raise money and awareness), promotional or any other form of support, ZWISS will do its utmost best to help.
ZWISS is not, and does not intend to be a funding body. Nevertheless, if sculpture can benefit society in more then just a hedonistic experience, ZWISS wil try to do so.
