ZWISS auction
This art auction will be held in support of the Royal Dutch Cancer Foundation. Our partner BNR buildingmaterials and their BUD cycling team have been raising money for the cancer foundation by cycling the Alp d'Huzes (a few times!) each year.

1st ZWISS (Zwolle International Sculpture Symposium)

Creation of monumental scale sculptures over a period of 3 weeks, on site and accessible to the public. An unique experience to witness the creation of large scale sculptures by internationally renowned sculptors. The finished sculptures will stay in Zwolle and its region. The material used for this event will be large granite glacier boulders, basalts and possibly limestone.

Note 1: Part of the proceeds of this event will go to a good cause.

Note 2: schools, businesses or organizations that would like to get an introduction to sculpture by 'meeting, greeting and learning' about sculpture during this event, can contact ZWISS. An unique opportunity to speak to professional sculptors from all corners of the world.


Young sculptors at Pedvale

The year 2012 will be the year in which the City of Riga is Europe's Cultural Capital. The project 'Young Sculptors at Pedvale' will be tapping into the events hosted that year.
This will be a symposium style event where young sculptors age 25-40yrs, who have had previous experience at, or visited Pedvale before, create site specific artworks.
This project is a joint effort.

Organization: Open Air Art Museum Pedvale (Latvia), Stewart Kent (fullbright, USA) and Chris Peterson (ZWISS, Netherlands)
